Terms of Service
Version 2026-08-31-en · effective 2026-08-31
The service
TokenMeter is a hosted service that measures how your organization uses AI tools and what that usage costs. It collects usage metadata from the AI tools your people already use, attributes it to your organization's teams and accounts, prices it against the rate card you configure, and compares the result with the invoices your providers send you.
What we receive, and what we do not
We receive usage metadata: which account, device, team, tool and model, how many tokens, when, and what a provider billed. We never receive the text of your prompts or the models' responses. That boundary is built into how the product collects, not a setting you or we can turn off.
Your data stays yours
You own everything the service processes on your behalf. We process it to operate the service for you and for nothing else — we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train models. Each workspace's data is isolated from every other workspace at the database level.
Your account
You are responsible for who you invite and for the credentials your people hold. One email address belongs to one workspace at a time; when someone leaves, their address is released after a short hold and can be used elsewhere.
Ending the service
You can close your workspace at any time, which erases the data we hold for it. We may suspend or end an account that is used to break the law or to damage the service. If we discontinue the service we will tell you far enough ahead for you to export what you need.
Availability and liability
We work to keep the service available and correct, and we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change we publish a new version with its own date, and the version you accepted stays available. Continuing to use the service after a new version is published means accepting it.
